In June we went to the Scandinavian Festival at the Hjemkomst and celebrated our Scandinavian heritage! Sophia and mommy wore blue and yellow to represent Sweden, of course. :)
Sophia loved the dancing and music!

Check out the braids!
The cutest little gnome
Yay Sweden!
We bought a 2-day pass, and on the 2nd day we got lucky and Travis was pulled up onto the stage for some dancing! See him?
Day 2 outfit!
A troll on stilts that most of the kids were terrified of...apparently trolls and gnomes are big Scandinavian things...
We were *this close* to getting a horse and so we went to a coworker's place in the country to talk about boarding the horse out there...it didn't work out, but Sophia had a lot of fun with my coworker's son, Marshall!
Sophia is REALLY into wearing mommy and daddy's shoes right now! (And not much else)
More shoes :) She seems to like the heels! Maybe because she's so little? She recently had her 2 yr well-baby...23 pounds and 32 inches! She's in the 10th percentile...petite! (But at least she's on the charts now!!!)
Sophia playing in her city-girl sandbox that daddy made
Ok, Sophia is OBSESSED with riding...Not only does she love riding horses (and dogs) every chance she gets, but she constantly sets up riding scenes with her toys. How cute is that?? I SWEAR I didn't touch any of the toys in the above pic...this is what she does!
4th of July at Lake Bemidji!
Sophia hanging on the boat with her Aunt Lindsey, cousin Jaylin, 2nd cousin Rea, and Great Uncle Tim (A Vietnam vet...THANK YOU!!!)
Driving the boat with Grandpa! (And of course, a beer!)
Cousins in the bath!
And snuggle bedtime with grandma!
The FOURTH!!!
Sophia with cousin Jaylin and Travis' cousin, Danissa

Watching the parade with Grandma Carmen!
And Auntie Lindsey
Grandpa Ralph was in the parade in the Packard! (Loaded with kids, of course!)
Bonding with Great Grandma Mary :)
Sophia got some early birthday presents from 2nd cousin Annie...she LOVES her shiny shoes and new baby!
