Flicka... sorry this is out of order, but it's a pain to try to put her at the bottom of the post! Read on, and it will all become clear! :)

So, we are in the market for a horse! We found our "dream boarding stable" this weekend. It's a bit of a drive, but the price is right and the facilities are worth it! We checked out these two horses at Red Rock Ranch on Saturday. The paint is a 7 year old who is the perfect size, but hard to catch and a little too naughty... head-tossing and some ominous prancing around. The buckskin was a wonderful, well-trained 12 year old mare, but a bit tall and priced a bit high. The search continues!

Sophia on the paint gelding... he's fine when someone is leading him, but a bit sketchy under saddle for me!

The buckskin. Very sweet mare!

Me on the buckskin... she was a nice ride!
Sophia had a bit of a tantrum when we didn't leave with a horse! We are looking at a well-broke Quarterhorse/Arab named Flicka this coming Saturday. She's beautiful, but also spendy... we'll have to see if she's "the one!"

Congrats on the new little one! That is so exciting!
My mom's former student's family owns a ranch in Manvel and they have a few horses for sale. Here's their website:
