For Thanksgiving day we drove 2 hours to Alexandria, MN (cute town!) to be with Travis' Uncle Dan and Aunt Karen and the four cousins and their families. It was REALLY fun! These pics are of Sophia with her 3rd cousin (I think...Travis' cousin's kid...is that a 3rd cousin?), 2 year old Danny
Sophia loved Danny, but didn't love sharing :)
Sophia loved Danny, but didn't love sharing :)
Watching the fish with her 2nd cousin, Tim
Sophia and Danny love Mr Potato head!
We have a fat squirrel living in the tree in our front yard. We named him Bubba. Sophia LOVES him and will yell Bubbabubbabubba. In the above pic he's eating some indian corn from my autumn display. He dragged it over from the hedges where I threw about 10 corn cobs...they were all gone by the next day! We now feed him a steady supply of suet and corn. :)
Sophia can climb in this chair to watch Bubba
She bangs on the glass and yells his name...fortunately he no longer cares about toddlers banging on the glass and yelling for his attention :)
Hanging out with daddy post-christmas decorating!
Fast asleep in her crib
First ponytail!
On Saturday we went to Grand Forks and played with horses at Grandpa Ralph and Grandma Carmen's before the big get-together at Laura's. Sophia loves to be on the pony! (Ok, she looks mad, but it's only because I was taking her pic and not playing with her!)
Sophia on Pepper
Lacey and Katie say hi
Travis helped get the chains on the tractor
Sophia loves the dogs!
My little redneck girl :)
At the Spicers thanksgiving gathering! Sophia with her Spicer cousins
Ok...this is my husband's sister's husband's sister's kid...what kind of cousin is THAT? Ireland...so cute! Sophia is just a month older, so they're into the same mischief!
DJ, Ireland, and Sophia (Sophia loves trucks!)
I think she's ready for a tricycle!
Travis and his brother, Tim, play-fighting (they were warming up for the real stuff later...haha)
With Grandma
The sisters and sisters-in-law!
I will say that Tim is real sweet with kids :)
The boys!
All the siblings
Gunner is the sweetest with Sophia! He was patting her and rubbing her back and following her around and sharing toys...Gunner and DJ are both about a year older than her, and are SO good with her!
Still no luck with getting a nice little girls pic! But we keep trying!
Sophia always finds the animals!
Another shot at a girls pic...Ireland and Sophia were not impressed!
I know it's cheesy, but I'm including some decorations pics! Here's one of Sophia with her favorite decoration: a singing puppy. She can turn him on and she carries him around (or pushes him in the cart) and plays that "chestnuts roasting on an open fire" song OVER AND OVER

Your BIL is a DOOSH
I put up a few decorations this year, too. But I struggle with the idea that no one will really see them...I guess I care a lot about what other people think!
Glad you are visiting soon. For presents, we are doing small stuff?
Your blog is bringing me much disappointment lately (UPDATE!).
But, I do love all the pics and am SOOOO excited to see princess in person. And you did inspire me to hang a few decorations this year.
UPDATE. (I am anticipating your parenting magazine article.)
