On Memorial Weekend we gathered at Lake Bemidji with Travis' parents and his sister, Lindsey's, family. Lots of fun cousin time! Sophia was pretty sweet with little Ava. :)

DJ is the biggest sweetie with Sophia... they played all weekend! Sophia coerced him into a pillow fight. He probably weighs twice as much as her and he just let her wail on him... he is soooo sweet!

Sunday morning the boys bought some worms and went to work on putting the boat in the lake while the little girls played with the worms.

The weather got pretty ominous on Sunday!
Monday was BEAUTIFUL and we went for a long, slow ride down the Mississippi.
That's an eagle that flew right over us! Over the weekend we also saw lots of fowl (birds, loons, ducks, etc.) and turtles and deer and a fox.

Tomato babies! I can't believe how few casualties I've had! I'm going to have to give away a lot of tomatoes!
On Wed we got up to the stable to see Margie. Sophia is SO comfortable with Margie! She does lots of the grooming (here she's combing the tail) and rides bareback, on a saddle, one hand no hands or even lying down.
One of our favorite things about the stable: all the bugs!

We've had lots of family picnics during my lunch break at work lately! Makes the long day so much nicer!

Last night we had a picnic in a nearby park with our good friends Kari, Aaron and "baby" Levi. I wish Alaska was just a liiiiittle bit closer!
