More play time pics... Sophia is enamored with stadium jumping, so she set up an elaborate horse jumping competition and, as it turns out, the My Little Pony horse won!

On Friday we went to my 22 week baby appointment... I gained 5 lbs in one month! The baby's heart rate was 150bpm. Everything looked good... the midwife reassured me that even the weight gain at this point in the pregnancy is "normal." I am cleared for "take-off!" We are heading to FL next week, and the midwife said that I just need to be extra careful to stay hydrated, but otherwise things are just fine and dandy for the big vacation. After the baby appt we zoomed to the annual Hawley Rodeo, which is at an awesome outdoor venue. Sophia was running around like 90% of the time! She loved it!

Saturday was Sophia's ballet recital! She had dress rehearsal in the morning and, as we were changing into the costume in the bathroom, she ran into her friend Larissa from school! Larissa is 5 and in Ballet 1 (Sophia is in Itty Bitty ballet).

After the rehearsal we zoomed to Whipper Snippers for Sophia's FIRST hair cut! That place was awesome... she didn't even notice that her hair was being cut. She was too busy checking out the toys and watching a movie on her personal screen in front of the chair.
She got a cute German braid out of the deal... that's part of their trim price of $17... not bad! Unfortunately, we had to take it out just a couple hours later to put in her ballet bun for the recital. Oh well.
Larissa inspired us to try some makeup for the recital... here is Sophia's first-ever mascara pic!
This is pre-recital. Sophia's grandparents gave her flowers, and she wouldn't put them down! That's her friend, Aria, with her. The girls had a great time doing Itty Bitty together this year! The recital was SO much work, SO much $$, and SO much fun! See the above post for her video! I was so proud of Sophia. I think, for her first time on a big stage in front of hundreds of people, she did pretty awesome. :)
