Happy Halloween!!!

I love this warm little suit that mom bought Sophia when she was a baby... it really comes in handy!
Last Saturday morning I went into Sophia's room and thought, you know, she has a pretty amazing view out of her two bedroom windows. This is the East facing window, where she gets to see the sun rise over the protected prairie...
And her South facing window, where she gets to see our horses grazing in the front pasture. I would have given anything for a view like that when I was a little girl!
Sophia is such a sweetie about entertaining herself on weekend mornings while everyone else sleeps in. This is how I found her on Saturday morning: studying her new Magic School Bus planets book (she LOVES Magic School Bus books the best!) and drawing and labelling the planets on a piece of paper. She is my serious one!
On Saturday night we were glad that Travis' friend, Travis Nelson, was able to come over with his family to hang out for a while... and they even brought us Chinese take out! Which was AWESOME because we spent all day Saturday shovelling and moving 2 yards of gravel into the horse barn, which is a crazy amount of work. The kids had a nice time cutting loose with Lily and making a mess!
Pumpkins! We carved on Sunday. Sophia made a small pumpkin face with a really neat kit from Grandma Mary and Kathy... basically colored pegs and a wooden mallet. This was nice because she could make her pumpkin by herself, instead of the usual huge knife issue that we normally run into!
 Pumpkin poses :)

Having fun with Picasa photo editing :)
Trick or treating!!! We went in the "city" of Glyndon with Joe and Mandy and their kids. Sophia and Lily were super cute together!

Sophia and Lily holding hands and running from house to house!

Sophia with Lily's baby brother, Miles. He was the cutest little bat!
Back home with our pumpkins. :) We had lots of decorations out and a big basket of candy on our front porch, but I don't think anyone came... we have a LOT of candy!
My unicorn and piglet! Kaia rode on my back in the backpack during trick or treating... thank goodness! The other parents were stuck with strollers... Love my baby-wearing gear :)
 Love the tails!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
