Circus time and LOTS of baby faces!

Baby faces! I just couldn't delete any of these pics, even though they are so similar :) Kaia is just the happiest, most smiley baby! She's always ready to give anyone a big, dimply smile!

We suddenly have flocks of super fat robins hanging out around our place. Surely a sign that spring MUST be on its way?? Sometime this year?!
Kaia has lots of baby toys, but some of her favorite things are mundane kitchen items!

On Saturday the 13th we went to the circus! Yes, I have issues with circuses and their use of animals BUT... I get free tickets from work and Sophia adores the circus. What's a mom to do?!
The girls look a little crabby... we hit the 10am circus. Ouch.

 Cotton candy: breakfast of champions!
 Sisters at the circus!

One of the highlights is having a glowing toy to wave around when they turn the lights out.
Sophia with her toy... we didn't let her get a noisy one this year :)
The tigers were a big hit

My favorite act: an Appaloosa horse that gave the "cowboy" a rought time!
The horse knocked him over and pulled off his boots :)
And hat. Such a cute act!
We sat near my Administrative Assistant, Bonnie, and she ended up holding Kaia for close to 1/2 an hour.  Kaia goes to anyone! BIG difference from my first baby :)
Sophia adored these little ponies with brightly colored manes and tails! They were super cute; I just wish they hadn't been forced to wear check-reins to keep their necks arched. Not nice. (See the trouble that an animal lover has at a circus?) :)
Sophia's FAVORITE act was actually the trick-motorcycles! The stands went nuts for this act.
 The requisite back-flip!

Happy Birthday, Travis!

Today we celebrated Travis' 30th birthday! In honor of his birthday, I would like to list a few of my favorite things about the man I was lucky enough to marry (don't worry, it's all very PG! Haha):
1. He rolls up the toothpaste from the bottom. I'm too lazy to do this, but I am happy to reap the benefits!
2. Travis baby-talks with Kaia. A LOT.
3. Sophia acts super goofy with Travis, and I know it's because he's more relaxed and silly than I am. Hey, one of us has to be a disciplinarian! :)
4. I'm glad I married a goof-ball, because I'm kind of a stress-ball!
5. I married the hardest-working man I've ever met.
6. I married the only person I've met who loves horses as much as I do!
7. Travis might have the biggest heart of anyone I know.
8. Travis loves and respects me, and works hard on our marriage.
9. We "play" together! Most of our "fun time" is stuff that we do together... from family time at our state park to running to dinner parties... if couples who play together really stay together then we are definitely staying together for at least a lifetime! :)
10. For the sake of a round number: I love a man who can carry a tune!

We had lunch at Mexican Village today, where I coordinate with the staff to have Travis be thoroughly embarrassed. They took Sophia to the back, loaded up their crew and her with maracas, and came out with lots of clapping and sparkling candles and singing for Travis!
 Love birthdays :)
We ended things with margarita pie! YUM! Happy Birthday, Travis!

Happy Easter!

Sophia and I had fun with the beautiful full moon over the prairie a couple of weeks ago :)

The sisters! I had no idea how fun it would be to dress two girls in matching outfits every day! :)

This is dark, but I love the way our horse, Margie, and the deer check each other out!
EASTER! We had an incredible Easter in Grand Forks with Travis' family. Just a great time with some of my favorite people, wonderful food, and lots of fun!
Ava with her "littlest" cousin... I think Kaia is catching up to her! :)
Kaia with oldest cousin, Jaylin, and 3rd oldest, Magdalene

Sisters! Sophia had a ribbon and flower on her white dress that matched the pink on Kaia's dress. You can't really tell because a certain chunky baby is covering it in this picture!
One of my most favorite photos EVER... the three sisters feeding our babies!!! Laura with Hudson on the left, me and Kaia, and Lindsey and Ava. This is a WIN for nursing! :)
Sophia jumped in the pic with a nursing doll!
The three sisters went for a run outside! A WIN for women's health! :) We had a great run, and we're super excited to all be doing the Fargo marathon together this year!
Our matriarch, Great Grandma Mary :) This is a true "oldest to youngest" pic!

 Cousins DJ, Gunner and Sophia
 Aunt Kathy with Kaia
This photo gets to me every time I look at it... I can feel time slipping like sand running through my fingers.

 Kaia with her Aunt Laura
The two youngest babies! Kaia (6 mo) with Hudson (9 mo)
 The ever-present drool...

The men! Brother in law Mike with his boys Gunner and Hudson, my hubby Travis, brother in law Dennis with son DJ and father in law Ralph!
 Grandpa love :)
Out to the barn for a super fun easter egg hunt!

The horses seemed to wonder what we were up to in their barn... :)
Of course we were treated to several cousin performances on the hay bale stage...

Magdalene, Gunner, Jaylin, DJ, Ava, Gabby and Sophia
Too much excitement for this one!

As they say, a picture is worth 1000 words! ;D
The oldest and the youngest... such lovely, wonderful cousins in this family!
We did Easter in Grand Forks on Saturday. On the real Easter day we had a quiet family day, with church in the morning and then egg coloring and baskets for the girls.

It was a go-go-crash kind of weekend! One of my most favorite Easters, I think. It was a really wonderful weekend!
